The Hiker is widely regarded as "The Himalaya Stove", having conquered the poles, and the Himalayas over and over again. The stove is at ease working as high altitudes such as 6,000m (19,500 ft). The Hiker is also been the choice of professionals, military units, and aid projects all over the world for more than 50 years. Exactly why will be explained here...
Powerful
The current Hiker is an upgraded version of the classic Hiker, with its powerful, whisper-quiet Cobra burner. It offers hot output and enough stability for the "big pots". The great output and accurate flame control, combined with reliability and sturdy construction, and the fact that it is big enough for group cooking make the Hiker the perfect base camp stove. Also ideal for group excursions, family camping, and remote family living.
Reliability
The Hiker has been field tested and proven more than any other. Easy to clean, simple to maintain and operate. The built-in cleaning needle works without having to stop the cooking process. The integrated burner, tank, and pump design is optimal for cold weather excursions. The Hiker is incredibly easy to set up...simply pop the lid, fold out the tank to position the burner, and insert the chained control handle. There are no loose parts to lose! Its protective steel case makes it durable and easy to transport.
Multi-fuel convenience
When travelling, particularly outside North America, the Hiker frees you from the need to find a particular type of fuel. Coleman fuel, white gas/petrol, kerosene/paraffin, diesel oil, methylated alcohol/spirits...chances are you will be able to find fuel just about anywhere.
A lifetime of service
A 2 year manufacturer's warranty is provided on the Hiker.
